​Since the camp is located in the desert it doesn’t have its own address. We will pick you up with our jeep at the Wadi Rum Rest House in the Wadi Rum Village (on the edge of the desert). Ask for your host Bakhir when you arrive.
wadi rum by car
Follow the directions of your navigation to “Wadi Rum street”. The coordinates to put into your navigation are 29°34′39.21″N 35°25′11.15″E. Get here by exiting the Desert Highway and follow Wadi Rum Street, this long street and the signs on the side of the road will lead you to the Wadi Rum Visitors Centre. After showing your Jordan Pass or paying a 5 JOD entrance fee, the roads leads you to the Wadi Rum Village. Here you will find a free parking lot to park your car, next to the Rest House. It is not advised to drive in the desert yourself, so we will pick you up at the Rest House with our jeep.
wadi rum by taxi
​The taxi is an easy way to reach Wadi Rum. You can find the yellow taxis on the side of the roads. It is common for taxis to use a meter, but standard prices are also used in many areas. Before you leave, discuss with your driver what your destination is and what it will cost you. The prices in the table below indicate average prices by taxi. The driver can drop you off at the Wadi Rum Rest House in the Village of Wadi Rum. Give our phone number to the driver so that he can inform us when you will arrive. If you want a regular driver who can take you to multiple destinations, please contact us so we can recommend a driver.
wadi rum by bus
​There is not always a direct bus connection to Wadi Rum. Sometimes you have to make a transfer in another city. You can check the bus company's website (JETT) for bus schedules, but the information is not always up to date. It is best to physically visit the bus station or inquire at your hotel or accommodation for the correct information. If possible, book your JETT ticket a day in advance to make sure you have a spot on the bus. There’s also a minibus, mostly used by locals. This bus does not run at fixed times and only leaves when the bus is full, which may take a while. This local bus doesn’t run on Fridays. Keep in mind that during national holidays and ramadan buses may have an adjusted timetable. Also keep in mind that not all buses bring you all the way to the Wadi Rum Rest House, where we will pick you up. Some buses stop at the Wadi Rum Visitors center, about 8 km from the Wadi Rum Rest House. From here you can hitchhike to the Wadi Rum Rest House
aqaba to wadi rum
A JETT bus runs daily from Aqaba to Wadi Rum. The bus stop is located next to the Movenpick Hotel. A one-way ticket costs 12 JOD and a return ticket costs 18 JOD. Booking your seat in advance is advised.
The local minibus runs a few times a day from Aqaba to Wadi Rum. The bus stop is located outside the Aqaba Police station. A one-way journey costs just 3 JOD. Booking a seat in advance is not possible. Bus drivers leave when the bus is full, which can sometimes take a while.
Petra to wadi rum
​A JETT bus runs daily from Petra to Wadi Rum. The bus stop is located next to the Movenpick Hotel. A one-way ticket costs 15 JOD. Booking your seat in advance is advised. The drive takes about 2 hours.
wadi musa to wadi rum
​A bus runs daily from Wadi Musa to Wadi Rum. The bus leaves between 6 AM and 6:30 AM and picks tourists up at hotels in Wadi Rum. The bus arrives in Wadi Rum around 9 Am. A one-way ticket costs 8 JOD. Booking your seat in advance is advised. The drive takes about 2 hours.
amman to wadi rum
​There are no buses running directly from Aqaba to Wadi Rum. You can take the JETT bus from Amman to Petra or from Amman to Aqaba. These buses run daily. From there you can take a bus to Wadi Rum. The JETT bus from Amman to Petra departures early in the morning. It is a 3 hour drive and a one-way tickets costs 11 JOD. The JETT bus from Amman to Aqaba departures throughout the day. It is a 4 hour drive and a one-way tickets costs 10 JOD.
